Heart sound recorder in Houston

Heart Sound Recorder in Houston –

Functional Cardiac Evaluation

At The Hayden Institute, we’re excited to offer a cutting-edge tool that blends nutrition, functional analysis, and real-time feedback: the Heart Sound Recorder (HSR). This non-invasive device helps us assess how well your heart is functioning, giving us insights into your nutritional needs and stress responses — all without the need for lab tests or imaging.

Whether you’re navigating fatigue, blood sugar imbalances, or cardiovascular concerns, the HSR gives us a new way to “listen” to what your heart is telling us and guide your care with greater precision.

"It Works!"

"I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Elissa, who is an absolute miracle worker! We did applied kinesiology/muscle testing and emotional release work together. I have never experienced such profound healing that was felt immediately. I don’t fully understand how applied kinesiology works but it works!... I have never experienced such a nurturing and supportive health professional in my life. I am forever grateful that our paths have crossed. I feel like a new woman!"

What is the Heart Sound Recorder?

The Heart Sound Recorder is a computer-based low-risk device that uses a specialized microphone to record the valve sounds of your heart. It converts these sounds into a visual graph that helps us interpret heart rate, rhythm, and tone — key indicators of nervous system stress and nutritional deficiencies.

Unlike an EKG, which looks at the electrical impulses of the heart, the HSR focuses on mechanical function. It allows us to observe how your heart is working in real-time and how it responds to nutritional therapy, lifestyle changes, and other support strategies.

"IT's Worth It!"

"10 stars is not enough for Dr Hayden and his staff. They have helped me countless times to get better when traditional doctors could not. I’ve been seeing Dr Hayden since 2015 and he has always been "on point" with each diagnosis and treatment. I have to drive an hour and 20 minutes to get there but it’s worth it. He has helped my inflammation to go down with RA, body temperature to go up, Thyroid in balance, losing weight, and most of all living better with my SI joint pain. He goes beyond chiro with his knowledge in the endocrine system and quantum neurology."

What the Heart Sound Recorder Can Reveal

Because the heart reflects the body’s overall function, its rhythms can indicate:

  • Nutritional imbalances (e.g. B vitamins, calcium, magnesium)

  • Adrenal stress or fatigue

  • Electrolyte or hydration imbalances

  • Poor blood sugar regulation

  • Nervous system stress (sympathetic/parasympathetic imbalance)

Our trained staff can evaluate your heart’s sounds to determine whether your heart rhythm is balanced and strong — or if it may benefit from targeted support.

The Heart Sound Recorder is ideal for people experiencing:

  • Fatigue or low energy

  • Mood swings or stress

  • Cravings and blood sugar imbalances

  • Concerns about cardiovascular health

  • Desire for a more natural, nutritional approach to wellness

Because it’s safe, non-invasive, and effective, the HSR is also an excellent tool for routine functional check-ins, even before symptoms arise.

What to Expect During a Session

Your session will be conducted by Liz, who has received advanced training in using the Heart Sound Recorder. Liz is currently completing her Diploma in Holistic Nutrition from the Edison Institute of Nutrition (a 2000-hour program), which allows her to provide personalized wellness recommendations as a Certified Holistic Nutritionist in our office.

During your visit:

  • You’ll sit down and relax while a small microphone is placed over each of your heart valves (aortic, pulmonic, tricuspid, mitral).

  • The software will record and graph your heart sounds.

  • We’ll review the graphs together, explain what they mean, and explore possible nutritional or lifestyle strategies to improve your results.

  • Follow-up sessions can monitor progress and track how your body responds over time.
