January 2026 Supplement Pricing Update: What Patients Should Know

At The Hayden Institute, nutritional supplements are viewed as part of a long-term, sustainable approach to health—not a short-term trend or quick fix. With that perspective in mind, we want to provide an early and transparent update regarding upcoming supplement pricing changes that may affect some patients as we move into 2026.

This notice is intended to help patients plan ahead if they choose, without pressure or urgency.

Why Are Supplement Prices Increasing?

Standard Process has communicated that throughout 2025 they absorbed significant increases in manufacturing and raw material costs in order to keep pricing as stable as possible. In addition, global economic factors—specifically a reciprocal tariff policy placing a 10% import tax on certain products entering the United States—impacted MediHerb formulas manufactured in Australia.

Rather than passing those costs on immediately, Standard Process chose to absorb much of the impact during 2025. As we enter 2026, modest price adjustments are now being implemented to maintain ingredient quality, manufacturing standards, and long-term supply reliability.

Standard Process and MediHerb Pricing Changes (Effective January 2026)

Beginning Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 4:30 p.m. Central Time, pricing will adjust across most product lines as follows:

  • Standard Process products: approximately 2.1% increase
  • Standard Process Veterinary Formulas: approximately 2.0% increase
  • MediHerb products: approximately 5.6% increase

The following products are not included in the 2026 price increase:

  • SP Red Food
  • Whole Food Folate
  • Mushroom Complex
  • Calming Comfort Pro

While these adjustments are relatively small, patients using multiple supplements on an ongoing basis may notice the change.

What About Other Supplement Brands?

In addition to Standard Process and MediHerb, our clinic also works with several other professional-grade supplement companies, including Apex Energetics, Biotics Research, Supreme Nutrition, Nutri-West, VerVita, and Southern Botanicals.

At this time, we have not received formal pricing notices from these companies. However, given ongoing increases in raw material costs, manufacturing expenses, and global supply-chain pressures, it is possible that additional supplement brands may announce pricing adjustments in 2026 as well.

What Patients May Want to Consider

For patients who are stable on their current supplement plans and already anticipate continuing the same products into the new year, this may be a reasonable time to review purchasing options. Some patients may choose to:

  • Refill or restock core supplements they use consistently
  • Ensure adequate supply going into January
  • Consolidate orders when possible to take advantage of free-shipping thresholds

There is no obligation to purchase supplements ahead of time, and no changes are being made to clinical recommendations or care plans. This information is shared simply to support thoughtful planning for those who find it helpful.

Our Commitment to Clinical Integrity and Transparency

Supplement pricing is determined by manufacturers, not by the clinic. Our role remains focused on recommending supplements only when they are clinically appropriate and aligned with an individual patient’s needs.

If questions arise about which supplements are foundational, which may be optional, or whether a protocol can be simplified, those conversations are always welcome. Patients are encouraged to reach out to the office or review their current supplement plans before the end of the year if guidance would be helpful.

As always, our goal is to support practical, sustainable approaches to health—clinically, financially, and long term.
