Detox programs are a dime a dozen. Every health and wellness store carries detox products from bath salts, to herbal cleanses. Many nutritional programs provide literature and packages for their specific 3, 8, 14, 21, or 30 day program, and many of them have generated excellent results with many people. If that is the case, why do we do “The Ultimate Detox Program” in our office, instead of just grabbing a prepackaged program off of the shelf and giving it to every patient that walks in?

Good question.

Like most health care providers in the complementary and alternative medicine world, we believe that your body is not broken. It has the ability to heal itself, when given the chance. After all, the famous chiropractor, B.J. Palmer said it best, “The body needs no help – just no interference.” Things that interfere with the body’s optimal function come in many shapes and sizes. For some people, poor dietary choices, hormonal imbalance, inactivity, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, exposure to toxic chemicals, and other “bad habits” create interference that inevitably affects the function and performance of their bodies. These interferences lead to symptoms.   The symptoms lead to conditions, diseases, and illnesses. They can also lead to frustration, anger, apathy, and disappointment.

Our goal is to change this.

The most important thing that we want to do with our patients is to help them to be able to get their life back. Whether it is rollerskating with their grandkids, fitting into the jeans they have in the back of their closet from before their 3 kids, or having the energy to coach their son’s baseball team instead of feeling like they need to come home and be irritable and tired, just wanting to eat and sit in front of the TV until they fall asleep. The Ultimate Detox Program

The Ultimate Detox Program is an ever evolving program that centers on the individual symptoms, concerns, and frustrations that our patients have. We offer The Ultimate Detox Program to patients, friends, and interested individuals twice per year (January and June/July). It centers around a lifestyle change of removing certain foods that have been shown to consistently create inflammation and symptoms in individuals. The removal of these foods, also known as an elimination diet, allows the body to rest and recover from the constant bombardment of inflammatory triggers. In many situations, after resting from these common offenders, the foods are able to be reintroduced, in moderation, to be cycled through a normal healthy diet. For some individuals, the reintroduction of these foods will ignite an inflammatory cascade that causes their symptoms to return. These individuals frequently determine that the symptoms that they experience after eating those foods are simply not worth it, and they chose to limit their exposure to the offending food.

Herbs, Supplements, and Shakes for The Ultimate Detox Program

Most detox programs have a supplement and shake program that accompanies the dietary modifications. Ours is no different from that standpoint. The products that we use with The Ultimate Detox Program are centered around the individual patient’s concerns, and presenting symptoms. For example, if the patient comes in with a history of diabetes and high cholesterol, and is 50 pounds over weight, they will not get the same nutritional support throughout their cleanse as another person that experiences PMS, constipation, and headaches. Each individual has their own unique fingerprints, health concerns, frustrations, and goals in life… it would be irresponsible for us as health care providers to force every patient to a pre-packaged program (even though we do allow patients to pick that option if they choose), so we chose to start with a foundational basis, and go from there. Our primary concern when supporting someone on The Ultimate Detox Program is to not give them a product that contains the inflammatory triggers that they are trying to avoid. Many companies use artificial sweeteners, food colors/dyes, and poor quality ingredients in their products. How can you detox the trash out of you, when you are putting the trash right back in via pills and shakes?

Cost of The Ultimate Detox Program

The most common question that we get from patients, prospective patients, people on Facebook, etc. is, “What is the cost of The Ultimate Detox Program?” The honest answer is, it depends on what you are looking for. Are you a person with a few minor symptoms, looking to lose a few pound, and increase your energy? It will probably be less of a financial commitment than someone that is on 12 medications, has had triple bypass surgery, high blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol issues. Below are some examples, so that you can know what to plan for:  (All programs include the initial 20 minute visit with the doctor, 21 days of daily email tips/tricks/reminders/motivation, digital resources, recipes, e-email communication with the doctor)

• Foundational Program (“Pre-Packaged” no modification for patient) – $235.00 – $238.00 (Vanilla or Chocolate option)

For patients that require additional support, for their specific health concerns and frustrations, the price can vary from an additional $12.00 to $100.00, with the “average” additional cost of $28.00.

What if the Cost of The Ultimate Detox Program is too Expensive for Me at this Time?

What a great question. I understand, and recognize that sometimes the cost of doing things prevent us from even getting started. We don’t ever want cost to prevent someone from taking control of their health, overcoming their symptoms, experiencing life to the fullest extent possible. Even though our best results come from patients that follow the dietary and lifestyle guidelines while taking the supportive purification and detoxification products, many patients still experience health benefits with the dietary and lifestyle changes alone. To participate in the 21 day program, and receive the same emails/tips/tricks/reminders, digital resources, and first visit with the doctor, but not have any of the supporting nutritional products, the cost is $85.00.
