Nutrition at The Hayden Institute

Functional Nutritionists, at The Hayden Institute help patients to identify the nutritional imbalances that create dysfunction at a foundational level.  Through a comprehensive physical exam, your doctor is able to assess various nutritional deficiencies and identify which organ systems are most stressed from a nutritional standpoint.  We also incorporate saliva, blood, stool, and urine analysis to assist in his nutritional recommendations when needed.

Proper nutrition is essential for a well functioning body.  Whole foods provide the building blocks of health and wellness by providing the necessary proteins, fats, carbohydrates, and micro nutrients (vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients) to maintain cellular health.  Even though we often eat so that we feel “full” it is important to remember that food plays a much greater part in the way we feel.  Diets based on sugars leave us over fed and undernourished.

Americans today are recognizing the importance of eating better as “organic” and “natural” foods are flooding the supermarkets.  This is a giant step in the direction we should all be taking towards our health.  Unfortunately, even though many people try their best to eat healthy foods, limit their sugar intake, and exercise, specific nutritional supplementation is often needed to assist in the rebuilding process.

Many patients at The Hayden Institute have reported improvements in the following areas:

We strongly believe that a whole food based diet, coupled with whole food based nutrition (absent of chemicals, pesticides, and artificial ingredients) will go a long way in reducing the symptoms that you are currently experiencing. At The Hayden Institute, some of the products that we recommend to our patients include: Standard Process, Nutri-West, Premier Research Labs, Supreme Nutrition, Southern Botanical, Medi-Herb, Apex Energetics, and Bezwecken.
