Applied Kinesiology – 50th Anniversary Annual Meeting

This past weekend (June 19-22, 2014), I (Dr. Chase Hayden) attended the 50th anniversary meeting of the International College of Applied Kinesiology (ICAK-USA) in Washington DC. Over 300 doctors from a variety of health specialties, including chiropractors, family physicians, veterinarians, dentists, and osteopaths were in attendance. The applied kinesiology practitioners traveled from multiple countries in order to attend the meeting as well. I was able to speak to applied kinesiologists from Korea, Australia, England, Mexico, Germany, Canada, and the United States. It was a great experience, and I learned a lot of advanced procedures from applied kinesiology.

Additionally, I was able to see a lot of old friends, and mentors that I have had throughout the last ten years that I have been studying applied kinesiology. Some of these mentors taught classes while I was a student at Life University, and others I only knew from reading their published material. I was also able to meet up with people that I only knew from online circles such as Facebook and LinkedIn. Needless to say, it was a great experience, and it encouraged me to continue to grow and understand more in applied kinesiology, so that I can be a better resource for all of you.

Here are some of the applied kinesiology doctors that I had the pleasure of hanging out with this weekend:

Oddly enough, he also taught my brother-in-law, cousins, and father. He is a household name, and my wife wanted to be in the picture when I pointed him out from across the room.

On Saturday (6/21/14) my family and I went to the White House for a special tour of the West Wing. While we were there, we happened to come out of the White House while The First Dog, Bo, was being walked. The dog handler brought him near us since we were the only family on the tour and our children were able to pet him. The guy giving the tour said that he has never seen anyone have a chance to touch the dog on the tour, and normally they keep all “essential personnel” away from the tours. He said it was really special that the kids were able to play with the dog.
